At Shampooch, we are committed to providing the highest quality grooming experience with compassion and care. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always our top priorities. While we strive to deliver the grooming style you request, we will never compromise your pet’s well-being to achieve a specific look. Every groom is tailored to your pet’s individual needs and tolerance.
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur a $25 fee, added to your next visit. This helps us manage our schedule and respect the time of our groomers.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to reschedule and will be subject to a $25 late fee. Timeliness ensures we can provide the best service to all our clients throughout the day.
Please note that our groomers are paid on a commission basis. Missed appointments and last-minute cancellations directly impact their livelihood. By respecting your scheduled time, you help us continue to provide top-quality care and retain the best grooming professionals.
We ask that pets be picked up promptly upon their grooming completion (we will contact you with notice). If you anticipate a delay, please let us know when booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe the grooming process may pose a risk to your pet or our staff. Safety is our top priority.
When pets arrive with a matted coat, we always act in their best interest. While we understand the desire for a specific haircut, we will not brush out matting that could cause pain or injury. In such cases, a shave-down may be necessary. Your pet’s comfort and health come first.
Grooming times can vary depending on your pet’s size, coat condition, and temperament. While most appointments take 2–3 hours and up to 4 for larger breeds, this is not an exact science. We ask for your patience and understanding - rushing the process can be dangerous, as we work with sharp tools and live animals. We always prioritize safety over speed.
If your pet has a history of anxiety, aggression, or behavioral challenges, please let us know when booking. This allows us to prepare appropriately and ensure a safe, low-stress experience for both your pet and our staff.
If a pet becomes overly stressed or aggressive during grooming, we may need to modify or pause the service. We’ll discuss alternative options with you, which may include rescheduling, using calming techniques, or recommending veterinary support.
