Pricing can vary, so it's difficult to provide an exact cost without first meeting your pet. The final price depends on several factors, including your pet’s temperament and the condition of their coat. We’re happy to give you an estimate based on the information you provide, and we can offer a more accurate quote once we’ve had a chance to meet and assess your pet in person.  

Shampooch is a small grooming salon and in the best interest of the pets we ask you to be available to drop off and pick up your pet within the requested times to avoid overcrowding in the salon. Times will be provided when booking your appointment.

The duration of a grooming session depends on your pet’s size, coat condition, and temperament. On average, appointments take between 2 to 3 hours and could be up to 4 hours for larger dogs. We’ll give you a more accurate time estimate when you drop off your pet. 

Yes, we recommend booking in advance to ensure availability, especially during busy seasons.

Please make sure your pet has had a chance to relieve themselves and is up to date on vaccinations. If your pet has any special needs or sensitivities, let us know ahead of time so we can make their experience as comfortable as possible. 

Yes! We welcome pets of all breeds and sizes. Whether your pet is a tiny toy breed or a large working dog, we have the experience and tools to provide safe, high-quality grooming. 

The ideal grooming schedule depends on your pet’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Generally, dogs with longer or thicker coats benefit from grooming every 4–6 weeks, while short-haired breeds may only need grooming every 8–12 weeks. We’re happy to recommend a schedule that suits your pet’s needs. 

We offer hypoallergenic and fragrance-free grooming products for pets with sensitive skin or allergies. Please let us know about any known sensitivities in advance so we can tailor the grooming experience accordingly. 

Yes, we have experience working with pets who are anxious or fearful. We use gentle handling techniques and take our time to help your pet feel safe and comfortable. If your pet has specific triggers or needs, please share that information with us beforehand. Add an answer to this item.

We aim to minimize kennel time as much as possible. If your pet needs to wait before or after their grooming session, they will be placed in a clean, comfortable kennel for their safety. Let us know if your pet has kennel anxiety—we’ll do our best to accommodate them. 

For safety and focus, we ask that owners do not stay during the grooming process. Pets often behave differently when their owners are present, which can make grooming more difficult. However, we’re happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
